When I randomly show up to snag your dogpal, even though it's a day they are *usually* hiking with someone else....
I've stolen them for my own schedule because I missed them.
When you are out walking your dogpal and are suddenly encountered by some seemingly random car pulling over unexpectedly.....
Your buddy wasn't on the day's schedule, and seeing you both out of the blue was just a nice surprise/perk for my day.
When your kids are super excited to say hi to the dog lady who has just arrived....
I've been working on my high-fives and frankly, I've gotten pretty darn good at them (if I do say so myself.)
When your dogpal is weirdly roaming the house collarless and you don't know why......
I'm in a forever-battle with hotspots. Those things are painful and itchy and they spread like wildfire. When they show up it means your dogpal has some gnarly bacteria festering and your buddy can't even tell you about it -- not to mention that their fur is super good at hiding the mayhem.
So when do you realize / find out about this mini volcano??
When you start to smell a dead-fleshy/moldy/grossness as you move closer to your buddy.....
So -- We take every single dogpal's collar off post-hike to give their neck-fur (and their collar) a brief period to dry out.
We Love your dogpals. And hot spots are the devil.
When your dogpal and I show back up at your house post-hike, and you don't even recognize them because they are covered in SwampMud from head to toe.........
I'm a proponent of Fun. Also a proponent of Happy. But most importantly to both you and I -- I'm a proponent of hoses / hose-usage / hosing.
I wouldn't want that goober dropped back off at my house like that either!
When you get home from work/errands/wherever and realize that your dogpal has *probably* already hiked, but all there appears to be is illegible scribbling of shapes in your pal's notebook.....and you think they *might* be smileys and hearts.......
I had your pal for that day's hike, and I really didn't have anything more to report than that..... Smileys and Hearts and Sunshines!
(And of course if the emoji-drawings just don't suffice, you can always check the FB or IG pages for a more accurate depiction of what took place during your pal's hike!)
When your dogpal's birthday is coming up and you get this urge to ask me about having their dogfriends invited over for a birthday party.....
I've had these requests before -- Follow that urge!
It wouldnt' be the first time I've gathered up a bundle of Trail Rompers dogs for a dogpal birthday party and then dropped them back home afterward....
My vote is definitely go for the ask!
When your buddy gets out of your yard and you're debating whether or not to call or text me.... I'm ready for you.
We aren't newbies on this front either -- your pals are hilarious boogers who LOVE the off-leash-life -- Taste of freedom??? SeeYaaaa!! 👋🏻✌🏻
Usually if they hear me prepping to take them for a hike, tho..... You'd be amazed at how fast those pals come romping out of the woodwork!
To put it simply, this isn't a job for me.
Trail Rompers is ..... An experience. An adventure.
A forever changing, Love-based and Forever-happy place to exist.
Trail Rompers is a Life.. It is *my* life.
WHD and then leading into Trail Rompers was simply meant to be, and the most amazing gift / life *coincidence* I could have asked for.
I am working hard to amp up the "professional" / business side of TRs, so that the streamlining of processes will reduce any technical hiccups.
I love you all So so much, and I am So very grateful to have met each and every one of you and to have each and every one of your dogpal's in my life.
Just wanted to share some Thursday Thoughts with you to say Thank You for being here, and Thank You for having your buddy join in as a Trail Romper.
I can assure you that, while they might have a new hiker for the majority of their currently scheduled romps, I Will continue to randomly steal them for my own schedule because I am simply obsessed with them, and love them with my whole heart.
💛,
Stacey Oscar Enzo & Kora 💕
